More of The Songbird's Secret

Good day!!  Today I wanted to share a pretty vintage card I made using one of Pion's recent collections called "The Songbird's Secret".  Aren't the laces pretty?  Lace Amelia - Ooooooo even a pretty name!!

Here I've used some ivory colored Foamiran and colored the edges, heated with an iron and shaped some die cut pieces with the Rosy Owl "Flower Dies 2" set.  I just love these big leaves too and you can make them a little smaller just by leaving them on the iron a little bit longer but don't leave it too long because I found they toughen up and then you can't shape them.  That's fine too if you like the shape that's created by the iron alone.

This nice little birdcage is on sale right now!!  Go scoop yours up before they're all gone.  I just like the size of them and sometimes when I feel like I have a bit of a space left, it's perfect!!

On the "Memory Notes" 12 x 12 paper there are some tags but also this cute little "Moments" sentiment and a few more.  Here I've cut the Foamiran with the Rosy Owl "Trailing Leaves" die but then while it was heated, I pressed in one of the moulds (see below) to get an imprint for the leaf.  It's subtle but I think that's all a person needs.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!
Have a great weekend and I'll be back next week!
I hope you are too!  :)

Have The Micest Day

Good day!!  Today I thought I would share this cute image from the latest LDRS release called "Have The Micest Day" along with LemonCraft's "Everyday Spring" papers for a more FUN/CUTE card.  At the top is a Marianne die and on the far right is a Fantasy die.  Both of these dies cut just beautifully!

One of the LemonCraft papers has some tags and die cut pieces on it, so I used the butterfly, popped on a Wild Orchid flower and added a Wycinanka arrow.  I painted it white using Gesso to match all the other white on the card.  I'm kind of particular (peculiar) that way.  Hee hee

Isn't this snail charm adorable?!!  There were recently some more awesome charms put onto the store so lots for everyone!  I've used some bark hearts but again painted them white using the Gesso.

OH I have lots going on here!!  Ok the border on the left is a new Joy border "Edge Die with Impellers" and lots of more flowers.  BY THE WAY - did you see all the new flowers put into stock this week?!!  YUM YUM!!  At the bottom I filled a little tiny wish bottle with some silver microbeads.  The bottles are so tiny you really don't use much of anything when you fill them.  They are so cute!

Ok there we have it for this Thursday!!!  Seems our weather here is being very slow to get into spring so I think we may have a situation where we skip it and head from winter right into summer.  Just crazy times in our area.  I hope it's a lovely weekend for you all but I suppose even if it's raining it's a great day to excuse yourself to your craft room.  LOL!!

I know a few days ago I did put a post on my Facebook page of some flowers coming into the Noor! Design UK store but not everyone sees it so I thought I would just share here as well.  I placed my order last week for some that I've never seen before.  WOO HOO!!  I can not WAIT to play!!  They can't possibly get here soon enough!!  LOL!

I may need a flower intervention.  😀

There are actually a ton of new products in the store including new papers, laces, images, charms, chipboard and more.

Enjoy shopping!!!

Love To Hear From You

Lots of pictures today starting off with my main feature using Studio Light's "Romantic Summer"  papers and this sweet image from Dreamerland Crafts "Love To Hear From You".  I bordered it with the relatively new Joy "Border Die with Carved Flowers" and popping in some smaller Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and Foamiran leaves.

Another bouquet of flowers and the big flower is another hand made Foamiran flower using Rosy Owl's latest release "Heart Flowers" with the "Classic Leaf" die.  When I first saw the leaf die in real life I was shocked at how big it was but then it shrunk a bit when I used my iron to melt it.  Turns out it was actually a good size.  I think this weekend I might tackle trying to make a rose or two.  I also made the pink flowers with green and white stamens in them.

I made an embellishment to look a bit like a scrolled letter and tied it up with some Prima wax cord.  Luv that stuff!!  Added some more flowers and foilage and moved on to the next bit.  😀

I colored her with my distress inks except for the polka dots.  I'll be honest, the polka dots were a mistake.  LOL!!  I was trying something and I dropped a Copic right on my image.  GASP!! NOOOOOOO!  Dang it how will I fix that??  Voila!!  Polka dotted chair.  LMBO!!!  I'm a slow colorer so there was NO way I was NOT going to use this image.  hee hee

Here's another picture of the flowers I made.  I'm not quite sure what to call them but cute!  LOL!

I hope you enjoyed stopping by today.
The weekend is right around the corner so I'm right behind you and on my way to enjoying it as well!!  Living in Canada we're always the last ones to the party.  LOL!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a good one!
